System Components
All system components are enclosed in a rack-mountable metal chassis. The
chassis has 8, 16, 32, or 48 device ports, one terminal port, and one network
port. An optional modem module is available for the SCSxx20 that you can add
at any time. The front panel features an LCD display and pushbuttons for access
to some system information.
Connection Formats
All physical connections to the product are made to the rear panel using industry-
standard cabling and connectors. All serial connections and network
connections use conventional Category 5 (Cat5) cabling (RJ45 jacks). Required
cables and adapters for certain servers, switches, and other products are
available from Lantronix (see http://www.lantronix.com/
